REPRESENT
Material: red soil
Time: October 2016
It is a dialectical relation to pursue nature creation under a man-made context.
I tried to pursue nature creation in a man-made context, which is contradictory and relevant.
So I invited almost 100 people to join me to make those sculptures (by using this unique red soil in the southwest China), and then placed them on a piece of a deserted stone slab in the lake and began to wait for the secondary shaping of nature. Traces of human on the soil gradually disappeared over time, and the soil returned to the campus, and everything returned to its original state.
